Why we started Avermo

Our team has spent over twenty years designing, delivering and operating trading platforms worldwide. From the inside, we have seen the market consolidate around a handful of vendors running on decades-old technology. They have proven themselves, but years of incremental layering have made their platforms complex and expensive. The result for their clients: months-long implementations, customisations that undermine stability, and new features that take too long to reach the desk.

The rest of the software world has moved on. Today’s best products are lean: simple to run and improving without disruption. Avermo brings that standard to trading.

What it takes

Built to evolve. Core workflows are part of the original design and every change is held to trading-grade standards, so the platform grows without layers of legacy.
Comprehensive automated testing. AI lets us write and maintain tests at scale, covering far more scenarios than any manual test campaign.
What we test is what you run. Every client runs the same core in its own environment and adapts it in two ways: through configuration, built into the core and tested with it; or through client-specific code, for needs such as integrations, developed and tested exactly like the core. No untested bespoke code on the side.
Small, frequent releases. Each one is easy to test automatically, limited in impact and quick to roll back, so risk goes down, and comes with its release notes and test results.
No more manual regression testing. Your teams no longer re-test existing features in UAT: robust automated tests cover them on every deployment. This is what allows us to update your platform so frequently.
No downtime needed. Updates are applied without stopping the platform, in agreed windows outside trading hours.
New features, at your own pace. Each release is deployed to production with new features switched off. You decide when to activate them: configure each feature in UAT, adapt your connected systems and switch it on in production when ready.

This operating model significantly reduces the total cost of ownership: fewer resources and less budget go into maintenance, upgrades and regression testing.
